100 Word Challenge Showcase Week 27

Most weeks, some classes take part in the 100 Word Challenge. Last week, for the third time this academic year, some of our children's writing was chosen for the Showcase. A link to the writing by Adam B (5DCLM) can be found below.

Click here to read Adam's writing. After reading, you could leave him a reply about his work too, as many others already have!

Well done Adam!

Home Learning Information for Year Five

This coming term, the home learning expectations are as follows:

Each week, there will be  either a written or Mathletics task set. These will link to End of Key Stage Expectations for arithmetic or reasoning. (20 minutes)

Weekly, we will set a grammar and punctuation activity to consolidate our work in class. (20 minutes)

In school, we have a weekly focus on a spelling rule. A list of spellings to learn that follow the week's rule will be provided. (20 minutes)

This home learning will be set on a Thursday and will be due in the following Tuesday. Home learning will begin on Thursday 19th April.

As always, there will be no Home Learning to complete during the half term break.

On Wednesday 4th July, children will meet their Year Four teacher for next year and the preparation work set that day will replace home learning for the final weeks of the year.

Spelling tests will take place in the same way they did during the previous terms.
