Rhymes of 8 Lines

Once again, some Year Five pupils have written poems of 8 lines in length that contain rhyme for the Poems and Pictures Poetry Competition. This year, the theme is 'The Sea'. Here are examples by Hannah and Amelia:

Eight Line Rhyme 2016

Like last year, some children again entered the Eight Line Rhyme poetry competition. These children are now in Year Six and have had their poems published in 'Children's Poetry: Music and Artists: An Invitation That Captured Children's Imagination (Poems and Pictures Children's Poetry)'. Well done Leon, Adam, Mya Alyssa, Ellouise, Isabelle, Fabia, Jake, Charlotte, Hannah and Lola. A copy of the book is available in the school library.

'Eight Line Rhyme’ Competition Winners

Earlier in 2015, some children in Year Five (who are now in Year Six) entered the 'Eight Line Rhyme’ Competition. The entries below have all been selected as winners to feature in "Poems and Pictures Children's Poems - Exercise and Healthy Food: An Invitation That Captured the Primary School Nation: Volume 3".
