100 WC Showcase Week 6

Lola wrote a 100 Word Challenge entry that needed to include 'it felt like'. Her work was 'Showcased' on the 100 Word challenge website.

"I am at my friends sleepover party, we are having a mid-night feast at the minet, we have stayed awake all night so far. In the morning we both went down and had egg and bacon with some fresh orange juce to drink. We both went into town and went in the milkshake shop and got a milkshake. I got a chocolate milkshake and my friend had a strawberry milkshake.I took a sip and it felt like I was eating ice because it was so cold. We both walked back home together with are milkshakes. It was the best sleepover ever."

The Piano Voiceover

We've been studying the animation 'The Piano'. At the end of this work, the children wrote a voiceover for the animation. This is Charlotte's from 5LM:

As part of our English lessons, we've been studying an animation called The Piano.

'Eight Line Rhyme’ Competition Winners

Earlier in 2015, some children in Year Five (who are now in Year Six) entered the 'Eight Line Rhyme’ Competition. The entries below have all been selected as winners to feature in "Poems and Pictures Children's Poems - Exercise and Healthy Food: An Invitation That Captured the Primary School Nation: Volume 3". Well done all. A copy of the book is in the school library.
